Here is one of my latest abstract, mixed media acrylic and collage.  I titled it The End of Fall.
Ready to hang size is 12" tall by 8.5" wide.  There is acrylic painting, collaged papers, copper nuggets from Michigan mine country, skeleton leaf and a hand designed polymer clay piece.  The main painting is coated in a clear resin making it very durable.

This piece is on it's way to Louisiana to the Ouachita River Gallery in West Monroe.

Getting ready to start up a new group.  I think there is some interest in Polymer Clay in this area.  The group will be "Ouachita Mountain Polymer Clay Guild" meeting the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 9 AM-12 noon sharing with hands on polymer clay techniques each month.  This way everyone will begin to learn more about the medium.  The location will be in the Hot Springs Village, AR area.  For more information contact Marlene Gremillion.

Check out a class I taught in Polymer Clay at the National Park Community College not too long ago.Polymer Clay Class at NPCC

Although it is fall I continue to think of flowers.  I so enjoy painting and teaching the large flowers and love to see others learn.  Here is an iris painted just a little differently.  Large yellow iris, off centered on the page in watercolor on 300lb arches paper 30x22inches.  Background green with a blurred affect. Yellow is always a challenge to get good contrast.  I am pleased with the piece.  It is available so you may contact me for information www.marlenegremillion.com

The crisp air and fall colors today got me in the mood.  Pulled out the Polymer Clay and made autumn leaves.  Now what to do with them?????  Would be nice in a mixed media painting but would also be nice to just have to sit in a cluster.  Decisions????  Stay posted for a follow up.

Thinking how pretty the state of Arkansas is today after the rain we are receiving.  I make Arkansas Charms of Fine Silver Metal Clay and you may find them at "All Things Arkansas" in Hot Springs, Arkansas.  Here is a sample of earrings.

The exhibit will be up until August 30.
Gallery hours are 8am-5pm Monday - Friday

Boy I am really not faithful to my blog.  Have been busy but what do I have to show for it but sore hands and spinning in circles.  If you keep up with my web site you will see I have been teaching in August and September.  Also have a few workshops in February and March of this year along with traveling.  Yes traveling is getting to be my next addiction.  Just love to hit the road with Ric  and the little R-Pod.  Guess I should blog about that but I do post pictures on facebook.....

Well any way take a look at my web site and see one of my polymer clay workshops that was at the Arkansas Arts Center.  I am really excited about this medium and there is so much to learn and to teach about it.

Take a look..... http://www.marlenegremillion.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=183
