I have been working hard at getting a nice display of items for Gallery 726 in Hot Springs, AR since I am the feature artist for March.  My hands really show it.  They are dry, stained and cracking but I must admit I am having fun working with some new products.

I have fallen in love with PMC Fine Silver clay.  Of course it is an expensive venture.....why would I fall in love with anything cheap?!?!?!  It is so much fun molding, shaping, rolling, texturing and kiln firing and then assembling into a wearable piece of jewelry art.  I even made some molds out of old buttons I saved from mom's sewing box.  What fun and excitement to see how they turn out.

I still have lots to learn about this medium along with all of the other exciting jewelry mediums like riveting, soldering and glass enameling.  I will never live long enough to learn it all but will definitely enjoy myself trying.

I also will be displaying some of my abstract paintings which have some of the same processess of texturing, molding and shaping but with paint and paper.

Well no wonder why my hands and fingernails always look like a mechanics!

Come by and see me on Friday, March 1, 2013 between 5 and 9PM at Gallery Walk.

Fun day in Mt. Ida, Arkansas "Pouring Watercolor".  Eight lovely ladies came to the workshop February 16, 2013 on one of the coldest mornings we have had in a while but we all survived playing in the water and color.  Did not take a lot of pictures but here is the group all tired and worn out after creating all day long.  Thanks Ouachita Artists for sponsoring the workshop.

By the way they have a lovely gallery in downtown Mt. Ida, AR so if you are ever in that area go by and say hello to them.
