Ever feel like you are meeting yourself going and coming.  Well that is me here lately but enjoying every minute of it.  It is so much fun to travel, visit and teach.

So far in August I have taught Polymer Clay basics for making jewelry in Little Rock, AR at the Arkansas Arts Center.  Fun, fun I must say. Polymer clay is my new passion.

And then there was the class in Hot Springs Village, AR in "Design Approach to a Watercolor Abstract". You all know I do love watercolor and love to teach it.  I think everyone should paint!

Well most people know I  enjoy a good time and to me a good time is demonstrating. I "performed" for the Ouachita Artists in Mt. Ida, AR.  What a great group......they booked me for a workshop in Painting Flowers in Watercolor.  We should have a blooming good time!

If you want to catch my next demonstration why not come to the Brush Strokes Meeting this Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Coronado Center 9:15AM I am doing the big flowers in watercolor.

You might be surprised but I am teaching once again this coming Saturday for Mid-SouthernWatercolorists Mini-workshop in Little Rock at the Butler Center.  We are going to do a shortened and smaller version of the "Design Approach to Painting an Abstract Watercolor".  Can't wait to see how that turns out.  The workshop is full with a waiting list. Yea because it is a fundraiser for MSW

And last but not least I am traveling with my little R-Pod camper to Hardy, Arkansas on the Spring River.  Will get a little r and r before teaching August 28 and 29, 2014.  Going to do "Acrylic Abstracts".  Haven't taught that in a while.  Looking forward to getting messy, which I always do when doing acrylic.

I am gearing up for the summer of 2015.  I am such a lucky person to have been chosen as the instructor for the Plein Air tour to Venice, Italy with the Arkansas Arts Center.  I just cannot believe it.  Here is the set up I plan to take with me but in a back pack limiting it to just the basics.

I must start exercising now strengthing my legs for walking and touring.  How exciting.

Gearing up for Friday (December 6) evening Hot Springs Gallery Walk.  Should feel like Christmas the weather man is saying it will be like Christmas so bundle up and come on out.  I will be displaying some new earrings at the Taylor Bellott Nature Gallery (726 Central Avenue) and I am also the feature artist at American Art Gallery next door with my paintings.  I will also be demonstrating painting large flowers in watercolor at the American Art Gallery so come by and see how I do it.

It's that time of year again when people settle down from the long hot summer and begin to get their creative juices all stirred up.  I am glad because it makes me start teaching once again which also stimulates my creativity.  Also, it makes me clean up my studio so I can get to my materials and have a decent work space. I do fall cleaning and not spring cleaning!

Take the time to view the latest workshop in watercolor, flower painting.  Guess that should be a spring workshop but I can paint flowers anytime because that is my favorite thing to do!

Here is a sneak preview of one of the pieces I will be displaying.

Well the jewelry workshop in Batesville, AR was fun with 9 women wanting to learn all about making jewelry with wire.  They were exhausted by the end of the day and so was I.  They worked really hard and made quite a lot and learned how to handle the wire and the tools.  Hopefully they will be safe with the wire and PRACTICE.

Thanks Batesville Area Arts Council for sponsoring the workshop.

Fixing to head up to the Batesville, Arkansas area to teach a one day jewelry workshop soon.  Check out the flyer.

Should be fun for sure.  I have a wide variety of beads to explore for choices to make earrings, matching bracelet and/ or necklace while learning to handle wire and design your own ear wires and necklace hooks.  You make the entire thing except for the beads and wire.  Pair up with a friend, daughter, son, daughter-in-law, sister, cousin husband or whoever and lets have a jolly good time.

View the flyer and contact the Batesville Area Arts Council to register.
